we are living in a world of technology and continuous online connectivity. we never seem to stop. photography trends are as impacted as ever, where the good and proven full frame DSLRs have been conquered by full-frame mirrorless, action cameras, smartphones and drones and by an ever-changing customer demand, making camera manufacturers move with the times or risk missing the train. equipment comes and goes every few years, while today everybody can be, and already is a photographer. i am just a mere part of this system. another guy adding to the trillions of images produced.
my goal is simple though: to return to the soul and essence of photography. to return to an era when you only had a roll of film to spare. when every single frame counted. when you had to think about what images you really needed to capture and how to make them. when you had to get it right there and then. when there was an aesthetic to film and black and white. let’s put in one more roll. and with film somewhere between technology and nostalgy, let’s see if this really will be the last roll.
welcome to a personal collection and dedication to black and white film!
